She lives, writes and works in Los Angeles, California. Her company, Carpe Datum, provides software development and consulting for the transportation industry. Prior to her work in the technology industry, Ms. Cole was Artistic Director Adrian Hall’s assistant at the Dallas Theater Center. She worked as a professional actress for eight years in New York City, after completing her undergraduate and graduate degrees in acting.

She shares her house with her daughter, novelist Rufi Thorpe, son-in-law Sam Thorpe, two grandchildren, two dogs and a cat.
